Share investing blog using value principles of investing, with inspiration from the likes of Warren Buffett, Benjamin Graham, Peter Lynch
Value Share Portfolio is a blog about my share portfolio, which I am putting together mainly through the value school of investing. I used to believe I was a typical Warren Buffett type of investor, however I also believe my style has evolved, and is continuing to, to include some ideas by Benjamin Graham, Philip Fisher, Peter Lynch, Anthony Bolton and others. The premise for my portfolio is that it is for long term growth and most shares will be held for the long term, unless they become overvalued or something materially changes.
This blog and the posts on it should not be construed as investment advice, it is purely my opinion and I suggest you always do your own research before investing in shares. For online research and to get opinions from other people I recommend the ADVFN forum, they also provide free real-time pricing info and other financial data.
I can also recommend some great investing books, more details of the investment books I recommend can be found in on my book recommendations page. I believe that reading these books has been instrumental in creating my investing philosophy.
In addition I have created a page with interesting and relevant quotations from Warren Buffet, Peter Lynch and Benjamin Graham. I personally believe these are also well worth looking at.
Although this is basically a blog I have decided to not set it up chronologically, but by investment so that it is easier to find related information in the one place. However you can also use the search box below or in the right toolbar if you want to search the site.
I really hope you find this useful and I hope to get some contributions from you. I would be very interested in your analysis of what you believe are good value shares and also if you have anything to add on any shares in my portfolio.
